Back to School Festival Set for August 12 at Dunn PAL Gym
DUNN, NC – The Dunn Police Athletic & Activities League, Inc. (Dunn PAL), in partnership with Lefty Treats LLC, is excited to host its Back to School Festival on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Dunn PAL Gymnasium, located at 610 East Johnson Street, Dunn, NC.
This free community event will feature the giveaway of 200 backpacks filled with school supplies—available while supplies last. In addition to the backpack distribution, families can enjoy inflatables, free food, and fun activities in a safe and welcoming indoor environment.
“This is our way of giving back to the community and helping families get ready for the new school year,” said Rodney Rowland, Executive Director of Dunn PAL. “We’re excited to partner with Lefty Treats LLC to make this a memorable and impactful event.” “I want to thank our Operations Director Christopher Eason for developing and implementing this event which was a group effort with our board, staff, volunteers and Lefty Treats, LLC!” “This event was designed to give those youth and families in need a last chance for school supplies and kick off the school year before school begins on Wednesday.”
The event is open to the public, and rain or shine, the festival will be held indoors at the Dunn PAL Fitness Center Gymnasium.
