Program Overview

The goal of Dunn PAL’s After-school Tutoring & Educational Enrichment Program is to support academic success and whole-child development through tutoring, enrichment, and strong supervision in a positive environment.

Classroom groups are organized by grade levels: K–3, 4–5, 6–8, and 9–12.

How to Apply

Register (online)
Complete the youth application (with signatures)
If eligible, submit the JCPC referral for free participation (grades 4–12)

Daily Schedule (2:30 PM – 5:30 PM)

2:30–3:30 Arrival, snack/check-in, settle-in

3:30–4:00 Homework help / tutoring blocks

4:00–5:30 Enrichment (STEM, arts, life skills, group activities)

5:30–6:00 Wrap-up, pickup / transportation home

Schedule varies by age group and daily enrichment activities, but always keeps learning and safe supervision at the center.

Fees & Payments

Dunn PAL charges program service fees for some after-school tutoring/enrichment participation (especially for younger grades). Payments must be made in advance to hold your child’s seat for the week. Grades K-3rd are $30 per week for After-school Program Summer Camp will be $35 a week for grades K-8th.

Weekly payments are due by Thursday for the following week.
Monthly payments must be made in advance (at least 3 working days before the next week starts).
Fees are a weekly rate only (no partial-week payments).

Financial assistance/discounts may be available through the PAL Office (scholarship application required).

To keep afterschool safe and organized, families should plan for on-time pickup, steady attendance, and clear communication. (For full details, use the Parent Manual.)

Attendance matters: consistent participation helps students benefit from tutoring and enrichment.
Pickup & transportation: transportation home is available for students who live in the City Limits of Dunn (routing/capacity applies).
Behavior & safety: students are expected to follow staff directions and respect others to stay in good standing.

Transportation from Dunn schools and Triton to PAL (school-to-PAL).
Transportation from Coats–Erwin Middle School for students participating in Afterschool and College & Career Readiness.
Transportation home is available for students who live in the City Limits of Dunn only.
