DPAL TV
The Youth Voice of Dunn PAL
DPAL TV gives young people the opportunity to experience television production, broadcasting, interviewing, video production, storytelling and digital media in a real-world, hands-on environment through the Dunn PAL Media Arts Program.
What Is DPAL TV?
DPAL TV is Dunn Police Athletic & Activities League's youth Internet television station. It is an extension of our Media Arts Program and provides youth with opportunities to learn how modern television, video and online media are created.
Youth don't simply watch television — they learn how to produce it. Participants can experience the different roles involved in putting together interviews, PAL news, community stories, sports coverage, youth features, special events and original programming.
DPAL TV combines education, technology, creativity, teamwork and communication to give young people useful skills that can carry into college, careers and future employment.
Created by Youth
Youth learn what happens both in front of the camera and behind the scenes while producing digital media that highlights Dunn PAL, our youth and our community.
How DPAL TV Works
Participants learn the television production process from planning an idea through recording, editing and publishing the finished program.
Plan
Youth develop program ideas, research topics, prepare questions, create scripts and organize production plans.
Produce
Participants learn camera operation, lighting, audio, interviewing, presenting and behind-the-scenes production.
Edit
Youth learn how raw video becomes a finished production through video editing, graphics, sound and digital media.

Completed programming may be shared online through Dunn PAL's digital platforms and official YouTube channel.
