The Dunn Police Athletic/Activities League employs around 9-13 Adults and 9-15 youth year round for various programs and operations.

Funding for the various positions comes from the City of Dunn, Grants and Workforce Development Board.

 

We have a Family Councelor (Specialist), Youth Specialist, Youth Coordinator, Community Coordinator, Education Manager, Mentor Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, (5) After-school Tutors and 4 youth currently on staff.

 

We operate the City of Dunn's Only Public Swimming Pool located at Codrington Park which is adjacent to the Dunn Police Athletic/Activities League Center.

 

Beginning July 1, 2010 - Dunn PAL will be rehiring all grant positions.

The following Grant positions will be available and we will be accepting applications from June 1st until June 29, 2010:

 

Grant Funded Positions

 

(1) Communications Specialist - $10.50 per hour  

40hr work week        Experience in Mass Communications requested.

 

(1) Family Specialist - $12.50 per hour                40hr work week           

2 or 4 Year Degree. Degree in Psychology.

 

(2) Education Instructor - $9.00 per hour         30hr work week         

Teaching Certificate or 2 year degree.

 

(1) JCPC Education Instructor - $9.00 per hr. 30hr work week         

Teaching Certificate or 2 year degree.

PAL Volunteers

 

The Dunn Police Athletic/Activities League is consistantly recruiting volunteers

for the various programs and activities that we do year round.

Most if not all our programs rely heavily on volunteers to make them work.

If it were not for voluteers we would not be able to help youth as much as we are able to.

We rely on volunteers for the following programs and activities and recruit year round for them:
