PAL Education Programs
The goal of PAL Education Program is to make a positive difference in the academic success and in the artistic, recreational and social development of 3rd-12th grade youth. It was created with best practice research on education & life applicable skills programming using a framework of principles considered critical to a successful program. These principles include emphasizing learning as the central mission of the program; use of professional staff; small group instruction with high staff to child ratio; providing a safe, secure, adult supervised environment; emphasizing parental involvement; strong collaboration with local schools and the community.

Dunn PAL Education Program NOW has 2 specialized Education Instructors, 1 Elementary instructor and 2 General instructors on a regular basis to assist its members in performing high in the school classroom. Dunn PAL is focusing more than ever before on the education of its youth in hopes of them seeking some form of extended education beyond high school. Dunn PAL is always seeking more volunteers to help educate youth in the Harnett County area.
The Dunn PAL Education Department has implemented in 2010-2011 a complete reading lab. We need volunteers to help 3 days a week in the NEW Reading Lab. The hours of the reading lab are from 2:40 PM until 8:00 PM. Volunteers will assist youth with their reading skills and reading comprehension. We are focussing more on reading this year than ever before! If you are interested in volunteering you can pick up a volunteer application on-line, at Dunn PAL or call 910-892-1049.
